Class Descriptions:

Kinder Kids:

Our KinderKids (ages 4-6) program is an excellent way to introduce the long-term benefits of dramatic arts participation to children attending Pre-K or Kindergarten. Each KinderKid student is highly involved in creative drama activities that develops speaking skills, builds confidence, and enhances early social skills and creative learning. Our Drama Kids instructors make sure all students feel comfortable and recognized so they will stretch and grow in a very positive environment. New scenes and activities are held in each class. Don't miss the fun!

Lower Primary:

Let your child's imagination run wild! In this Lower Primary class (ages 5-8), your child will be exposed to the performing arts through fun and playful activities such as creative movement exercises, silent scenes, speech activities, dialogs, theater games and a different play each week. Class concludes with a wonderful performance on stage.

Upper Primary:

Lights, Camera, Action! The Upper Primary classes (ages 9-12) will participate in a wide range of new dramatic activities each week that include: structured improvisations, mini-scripts, speech training, dramatic movement, scene starters and theater games. Class concludes with a wonderful performance on stage.

Composite Classes:

In the Composite Class everyone is a star! Students (ages 6-11) work together on structured improvisations, group activities, speech, creative movement activities, theater games and more. We provide a fun and fast paced environment that teaches valuable academic and social skills, such as team work, leadership and public speaking. Class concludes with a wonderful performance on stage.

DKI Acting Academy:

The acting academy class (ages 12-17) is a very comprehensive program that covers spontaneous improvisation with specific directives, mini-scripts, character analysis, dialogues, theatre games, radio plays, monologues, and structured scenes. Year-end scripted production performed for public audience.
